We’re delighted to announce that our young people will get their first taste of our brand-new VITA programme from Monday 26 January 2026.
VITA is EmployabilityUK’s latest employability and life-skills programme, developed through a powerful collaboration with Teamworks, Team You and Provisions Plus+. It is designed to combine our outstanding skills-building provision with the passions of young people — adapting to interests from motorsport and gaming to football and music, and much more besides.
The pilot will take place at Teamworks Karting in Birmingham and will support learners from BMet, South & City College, Sandwell College and Solihull College & University Centre.
The EmployabilityUK Skills Passport (ESP)
The EmployabilityUK Skills Passport is a core component of the new VITA programme, designed to enable young people to track and present their skills, qualifications and potential in today’s labour market. The digital platform helps young people actively demonstrate how they can fill skills shortages and overcome gaps in work readiness, ensuring that employers can see their full potential.
EmployabilityUK has demonstrated its commitment to the region’s future workforce by pledging to offer every 16-year-old in the West Midlands a free ESP by the end of 2026.
VITA and the ESP represent two of the most exciting developments in the employability skills sector in 2026, and we look forward to introducing and expanding the programme with the aim of unlocking potential, strengthening pathways into work, and supporting young people to succeed in a rapidly changing skills landscape.
