Now In Print – The A to Z of Vision Boards by Andrew Carter
Thursday 13 August saw the delivery of EmployabilityUK’s final virtual workshop in the pilot series delivered in collaboration with Active Communities. With in-classroom learning rendered impossible by lockdown measures, this pilot provided the impetus and momentum to transfer our programme delivery to the online space.
Volunteer Andrew Carter attended the majority of the workshops, even when not speaking on his specialist subject. How he inspired our attendees both in core sessions and breakout rooms proved a genuine highlight of the programme.
As well as speaking to students, Andrew wanted to make a personal goal happen: to become a published author. After working closely with our creative team his debut book, The A-Z of Vision Boards, launched on Amazon in July to great success.
Now, EmployabilityUK is pleased to announce the release of the hard copy edition, available on the EmployabilityUK website at a special introductory launch price of £7.99.
Andrew commented: “EmployabilityUK has given me the platform and confidence to speak and express myself more so than ever before.
“Working with the charity, I have been able to network and build fantastic relationships and partnerships. On a personal level, I would like to recognise that the charity’s passion for opportunity, encouragement and personal development extends not only to students and young people but also to volunteers.
“EmployabilityUK believed in my vision and made so much possible that, before joining, was nothing more than a dream on my vision board. Now, in a few short months, I have established myself as an author, motivational speaker and mentor. I am massively grateful and proud to represent the charity as an ambassador and partner, and I look forward to working together for many more years to come.”
Andrew has generously pledged that all proceeds from the hard copy will be reinvested in the charity to enable more young people to benefit from his insights and teachings.
Andrew has also generously agreed to be the first volunteer showcased in our new #VolunteerVibe series, giving an insight into who he is, what he does and how EmployabilityUK has influenced him.
