New Senior Education Advisor appointed

We are delighted to announce the appointment of our new Senior Education Advisor, David Wallace. David joins us at an important point in our strategic growth when we are  broadening the reach of our work across the Midlands region. David will be a key member of the Advisory Team bringing current and relevant information from the fast-changing careers education arena.

David said “I am pleased to be joining the Advisory Team at EmployabilityUK at such an exciting time. It is a young, vibrant organisation that is taking an innovative approach to the development of young people. I am particularly impressed with their fresh thinking and strong, no-nonsense programmes that are changing the way we prepare our students for their future.”

After a 17 year career as a trader in the City, David worked in two schools in the South East before relocating to Stratford upon Avon School in September 2012. He is embedding a careers development education programme across the whole curriculum that prepares every young person for the changes and challenges they will face in the future.

David was delighted that the work in the school was recognised in 2014 and 2015 by the Career Development Institute with a shortlisting in their national awards. The CEAIG work featured in the 2016 Parliamentary Review for good practice in Schools and David has supported numerous schools, spoken at key conferences and acted as a consultant to the Gatsby Charitable Foundation, Career & Enterprise Company and PiXL. In December 2017 the School’s programme was awarded the Quality in Careers Award at a Gold standard.

In his spare time David enjoys a wide range of music and the tranquillity of a day’s fly-fishing.
