National Employability Week™ 2025 – Impact Summary Published and Plans Announced for 2026

Sep 26, 2025

EmployabilityUK is proud to announce the publication of the National Employability Week™ (NEW) 2025 Impact Summary, capturing the highlights, achievements and outcomes of our inaugural week held in Birmingham from 7–11 July 2025.

Thanks to the incredible commitment of our supporters, volunteers, employers and education partners, NEW 2025 delivered an inspiring programme of events and opportunities for young people. Hundreds of learners engaged in activities designed to build skills, confidence and career awareness and 100% of participants said they would recommend the week to others.

Looking ahead to 2026

Building on the success of the pilot year, NEW 2026 (6–10 July) will expand to become a national initiative, shining a spotlight on employability across the UK. The centrepiece will be the flagship National Employability Conference in Birmingham on Wednesday 8 July 2026, bringing together business leaders, educators and civic partners to address the challenges and opportunities facing young people.

Opportunities to Get Involved

Employers, civic leaders and education providers are invited to play a key role in shaping NEW 2026 through:

  • Sponsorship & Partnerships – including Headline Partner (from £25,000+), Delivery Partner (from £5,000+), Supporter Partner (£995+) and in-kind support opportunities.
  • Programme Delivery – hosting site visits, skills workshops or volunteering time to support learners.
  • Thought Leadership – contributing to panels and sharing best practice at the National Employability Conference and throughout the week.
