We are delighted to share the success of our recent sessions with Aston University Sixth Form, marking the beginning of an exciting new partnership.
Over the course of the week in early September, our team worked closely with students to build confidence, develop employability skills, and explore future pathways. The energy, enthusiasm, and ambition shown by the students was inspiring, and we are proud to have played a part in their journey.
Programme highlights include:
High-Impact Delivery: Across four themed days, students engaged in motivational keynote talks, interactive workshops, team challenges, and presentation practice.
Skills Development: Sessions focused on confidence-building, resilience, teamwork, workplace behaviours, employer’s expectations, presentation skills, creativity, and future planning.
Practical Outcomes: Students worked in groups on a “Party Planner” challenge, developing planning, budgeting, negotiation, and presentation skills, culminating in final group presentations.
The feedback has been incredible:
- 100% of students rated our presenters and facilitators as “Good” or “Excellent”
- 100% of students said they would recommend the programme to others
- 97% of students rated the programme as well organised and effectively delivered by EmployabilityUK
Partnerships like this showcase the power of collaboration between education and employability specialists. Together, we are working towards our mission of Unlocking Potential – Inspiring Young Birmingham.
A huge thank you to Aston University Sixth Form for welcoming us, and to the EmployabilityUK facilitators and volunteers who made the sessions possible.
We deliver programmes like these across schools, colleges, and businesses. We can do this for you, too, helping young people gain the skills and confidence they need to thrive.

I had the privilege of participating in a programme organised by EmployabilityUK which took place in Aston University. During the week I engaged in many workshops which taught me valuable lessons and skills that are essential for the world of employment. As well as learning from these workshops, I was able to connect with my new peers during the start of my journey at Aston University Sixth Form. Furthermore, during the week we were assigned groups and tasked with developing and delivering a presentation which required cooperation and helped to grow my confidence. We also had the pleasure to listen to many motivational speakers. I was inspired to aim higher than ever before, fuelling my ambitions.
