EmployabilityUK Becomes DofE Licensed Organisation
We’re delighted to announce that EmployabilityUK has become formally licensed by the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Marking one of our most Powerful Partnerships so far, this new agreement and prestigious Award form a significant onward pathway for our Ultimate Employability Skills Programme and Motivation Reboot workshops.
The accreditation represents an important enhancement to our NCFE-endorsed UESP programme, and enables us to further tailored support for young people that engage with our programmes. Specifically, all learners in our programmes are offered a dedicated mentor for the duration. If they are successful in securing an ongoing placement, their progress towards the DofE Award will not only receive continued support from the same mentor, but will also be fully funded by EmployabilityUK.
Speaking on the new agreement, Jackie Bull, Director of Operations England at the DofE said: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with EmployabilityUK as a DofE Licensed Organisation.
“EmployabilityUK will be delivering the DofE programme to their young people, aiming to enrich their experience and enhance the opportunities available to them through an employability lens.
“Our collaboration with EmployabilityUK began during the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, where we recognised the mutual benefits our organisations could bring to young people. We eagerly anticipate seeing how young people will engage with the additional opportunities provided through the DofE programme with EmployabilityUK.”
This represents a further enhancement to our already sector-leading, NCFE-endorsed Ultimate Employability Skills Programme, and ensures that volunteering remains a prominent feature of all our programmes.
EmployabilityUK Chief Executive Diane Vernon MBE said: “The Duke of Edinburgh’s award is a much-admired and proven programme that helps to bring out the very best in young people. We are thrilled to be working with the DofE team, and this important partnership secures the UESP’s place as a must-have for all young people in their preparation for adult life.”
