About the Duke of Edinburgh Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a registered charity that works with Licensed Organisations across the UK to increase opportunities for young people. By taking part in a DofE programme, participants meet new people, improve their self-esteem and build confidence. They gain essential skills and attributes for work and life such as resilience, communication, problem-solving, team-working, and enhancing their CV and job applications.

EmployabilityUK has partnered with DofE and we are delighted to be a Licensed Organisation. This is a great opportunity for EUK learners to continue their personal and professional development journey in a structured way – boosting their professional profile while having fun, making new friends and enjoying first-hand, the benefits of volunteering.

We Can Deliver DofE for You

We partner with educational establishments and community organisations to deliver the DofE Awards programmes to young people aged 16-24. We have the team and resources readily available to provide a unique DofE experience for young people that are looking to develop their skills and stand out from the crowd.

What this means for educational establishments, is that they will not need to go through the administrative process of becoming a licensed organisation, nor do they need to appoint or train paid employees or volunteers to deliver and assess the programme completion. This saves a great deal of time and resources!

What Makes Us Stand Out as a DofE Provider?

There are many licensed organisations and educational establishments offering the Duke of Edinburgh Award for their learners, but our add-ons can make a big difference in the young person’s journey through the programme. When a young person participates in DofE through EUK, they get:

  • A place in a motivational workshop, providing practical tips to succeed in employment and adult life
  • Structured and supported journey through the DofE programme
  • One-to-one coach to provide support, motivation and accountability
  • Unique opportunities to volunteer and gain useful work experience
  • Alternative options for the DofE’s ‘residential requirement’ for participants who can’t undertake a traditional expedition, or travel/stay elsewhere overnight
